Everyone here at The Quiet Site is absolutely delighted to have won the title of AA Campsite of the Year<\/strong> England 2023.\u00a0 It was a great achievement made even better when we found out we had also been awarded the title of Overall Winner 2023 in the UK out of all 12\u00a0 AA Campsite categories.\u00a0 It does not get any better than this!<\/p>\n

The AA Caravan and Camping Awards<\/a> celebrate the UK’s best campsites and caravan parks, including glamping sites.\u00a0 The winners are selected by the AA’s team of inspectors in recognition of exceptional quality and customer service offered.<\/p>\n

Thank you to the AA inspectors who, over the years have always been a helpful and informative source of knowledge, and helping us to continually improve our offer.\u00a0 The Quiet Site last won the AA Campsite of the Year in 1989, so its great to come full circle!<\/p>\n

What our AA inspector said about The Quiet Site:<\/p>\n

A wonderful sustainable park with breathtaking views across Ullswater, and only a short drive away from some of the best fell walking and attractions in the Lake District, including Aira Force, Lowther Castle and Helvellyn. Caravans, motorhomes and tents enjoy well-sized terraced pitches, and fantastic glamping options can be found at the top of the park, including the Glamping Burrows and Gingerbread Houses. This is a site justifiably proud of its green credentials, and very much ahead of the norm; the park is 90% self-sufficient as energy is powered through solar panels, a biomass boiler, a ground source heat pump and PV panels. Fast free WiFi is available throughout the park and residents also have access to a TV\/meeting room. The 16th-century ‘Quiet Bar’ with its authentic, rustic decor and is open all year around. ‘The Quiet Bite’ offers breakfast cr\u00eapes and bacon rolls, as well as an evening pizza takeaway service. A brand new shower block was opened in 2023 that has private, fully serviced cubicles.<\/em><\/p>\n
